Earlier this year we reported on a tragic bus accident which took place in the region of Tata, southern Morocco, killing 33 people on board, mostly young adults.

Heartbreakingly, reports are coming in today of another incident which has sadly left a number of children dead.

According to news sources, a bus carrying children has crashed near the town of Chichaoua, Morocco, claiming the lives of six of its young passengers.

The Morooco World News state that the victims were travelling with 30 others to Casablanca, Rabat and Tangier to spend the summer with family when the crash happened.

No details have been released as to how it happened, and our thoughts are with their families at this sad time.

Nearly 70,000 road accidents occur in the North African country each year, claiming nearly 4,000 lives yearly.
