Met Éireann has issued a nationwide weather warning as strong winds are forecasted until tomorrow morning.

As well as strong winds, heavy rainfall and thunder have also been forecasted- so make sure you have your umbrella at the ready!
Storm Georgina is set to hit the northwest of Ireland, bringing intense winds 55 to 65 km/hr and gusts of 110 km/hr.
Turning very windy tonight as storm Georgina tracks to the northwest of the country. Southwest winds will be strong to very strong and gusty, with gale force winds for a time overnight with strong gales along coasts.

Met Éireann shared, “Rain will become widespread and heavy for a time during the night with the risk of thunder and spot flooding but will turn more showery later.”
