You know all those cute pictures of your kids at sports days, birthday parties and sleepovers that you’ve posted on Facebook over the last few years? Well, they might come back to haunt you like they did these parents.

An 18-year-old woman is suing her parents for posting pictures of her to social media without her permission.

The woman says that her parents have been consistently posting images of her on Facebook since 2009 and that it has had a major impact on her life.

Her lawyer, Michael Rami has said that more than 500 pictures of the Austrian woman have been posted with her knowledge or consent.

The pictures taken by the parents capture intimate childhood moments like being potty trained and having her nappy changed.

“They knew no shame and no limit, and didn’t care whether it was a picture of me sitting on the toilet or lying naked in my cot.

“Every stage was photographed and then made public,” the woman says.

The teen claims she made multiple attempts to get her parents to remove the pictures before taking legal action.

“I’m tired of not being taken seriously by my parents.”

Based on the history of these types of cases around the world, Mr Rami thinks his client’s parents could have to fork out for a major compensation and cover the cost of her legal fees.
