These celeb mums have nailed the World Book Day costume trend

Happy World Book Day! Today, March 3, is known as World Book Day, a day to celebrate the wonderful art of reading, particularly amongst children.

To mark the occasion, kids all over the UK and Ireland usually dress up as their favourite character from a book, although, these days kids are opting to dress up as any character they fancy, whether they’re from the literary world or not.

This year it would appear that many celebrity mamas have taken the task quite seriously, indeed!

After having a gander at all of the creative costumes shared online this morning, we’ve rounded up our favourites, courtesy of some proud celebrity mums.

Rochelle Humes and her three youngsters really got into the spirit of things today, with The Saturdays singer’s eldest child, Alaia (8) and middle child Valentina (4) both dressed up as Mirable from the hugely popular Disney movie, Encanto.

Meanwhile, her and JLS star Marvin Humes’ one-year-old son Blake was adorably dressed up as Bing, from the hit CBeebies cartoon.

Tia was dressed up as an Oompa Loompa from the classic Roald Dahl tale, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Meanwhile, little Cree looks absolutely darling, dressed up as Woody from Toy Story.

Wow!!” In this lovely snap, Adam’s children, Teddy and Elsie-Rose are dressed up as The Mad Hatter and The Queen of Hearts.

Radio DJ and expectant mum Vogue Williams shared such a fun series of snaps this World Book Day, as her two little ones embraced the occasion! “World book day! I introduce the big bad wolf and the tiger who came to tea (kind of!),” she explained in her Instagram caption.

“Books are such a big part of our house, T and Gigi both love them and we do read to them everyday… get your babies into reading, it’s such a lovely thing for them and their imaginations,” she encouraged.

Helen’s eldest child, Matilda (6) looked sweet as sugar dressed up as Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz with her baby brother Charlie dressed up as Toto, her little sidekick. Meanwhile, Helen’s middle child, Delilah (3) looked like she was absolutely buzzing to be dressed up as the Highway Rat!
