Many of us are on the edge of our seats when we watch pur kids play football or swim for their local club, so you can just imagine how nervous these parents felt watching their daughter compete in the Olympics.

22-year-old Alexandra Raisman, or Aly for short, was taking part in the women’s uneven bars in Rio yesterday, when her parents, Lynn and Rick Raisman, were caught squirming in their seats in all their nervous-glory!

From covering her eyes to putting her hand over her mouth, Aly’s mum Lynn could barely watch her daughter compete – despite it being her second time at the Olympics!

That's my cheek on the right. I'll try not to let the fame go to my head.

The father of the gymnast, Rick, was also squirming in his seat, going backwards and forwards before fist pumping the air when her routine was done!

The young woman managed to qualify for the all-round final for her second Olympics, so her parents didn't need to worry!

We're sure this is not the last we will be seeing of Lynn and Rick!
