We love that kidswear has become far more interesting in recent years and stores are actually thinking about the clothes they sell rather than just stocking the girls’ section with pink dresses and the boys section with blue shorts.

Gender neutral clothes

You may not want to dress your child all in black, à la Kimye, but there are plenty of other ways to embrace the unisex style prevalent in every AW15 tradeshow. Choose grey and navy jumpers, jeans or black trousers and classic white tops and you won't go wrong.

Printed illustrations

Rather than generic logos or text, there are some really great printed illustrations and designs on tops this season. H&M has a great collection of these that the kids are sure to love.

Patterned trousers

This trend has leaped off the grown-up runways and been embraced fully by our little ones. The perfect mix of stylish and fun.

Mini-Me

Like patterned trousers and tailoring, many other grown-up trends have been snatched from the runways and incorporated into kidswear collections. A trend called ‘hypebeast’ is evident in this season’s kidswear collection, inspired by music and ‘streetbeat’. Oversized shirts and jumpers, graffiti designs, leather pants and fashion-jerseys are all key pieces in this trend.

#LikeAGirl

Probably one of our favourite general trends of the year, this campaign to promote the vast capabilities of little girls around the world has moved into the world of fashion. Girls now have lots of activity-friendly, tomboy and sports-inspired clothes to choose from without having to venture into the boys’ department.

Tailoring

Tweed cardigans for your little girl or a cord blazer for her brother, smart isn’t just for school anymore – it’s for your child's wardrobe.

Fluff and frills

The beauty of the #LikeAGirl movement is that it embraces the many types of girls out there. While there are lots of options when it comes to activity-friendly clothes, there are still plenty of options for girls who want their outfit to be pink and fluffy. You can even combined the two trends like this fab outfit from H&M:
