Losing a loved one is indescribably painful, especially at a young age. Twitter user Bailey Sellers' father took extra steps to ensure that after he died his daughter, who was only 16 at the time, would still feel his loving presence.

Before passing away from cancer, Bailey's dad pre-paid to have flowers sent to her on her birthday every year until she turned 21.

Well, yesterday was Bailey’s 21st birthday, and she received her last bouquet of flowers from her loving father.

The Knoxville native shared a picture of the gorgeous purple flowers and her dad’s heart-breaking last card to her on Twitter. The tweet has touched many hearts, with 344K likes and 86K retweets in less than 24 hours.

His message reads, “This is my last love letter to you until we meet again. I do not want you to shed another tear for me my baby girl for I am in a better place. You are and will always be the most precious jewel I was given."

He continued, “It is your 21st birthday and I want you to always respect your momma and stay true to yourself. Be happy and live life to the fullest.”

That may have been his last birthday bouquet to her, but Bailey’s father assured her, “I will still be with you through every milestone, just look around and there I will be. I love you Boo Boo and happy birthday!”

Bailey’s story resonated with many people on the social media platform.

“What a great father and man. I’m so sorry you lost him so soon. He’s watching down on you. Happy birthday Bailey!” said one Twitter user.

Another person tweeted to Bailey encouragingly, “If you can go through this, you can do anything. I don’t even know you and I know you’re an immensely strong woman.”

“This is the DEFINITION of a real man and father, thinking less of themselves and more of showing love even when time doesn’t allow it,” said another.

Bailey appreciated the kind words, saying, “I'm so thankful that my dad’s thoughtfulness brought so many people happiness.”

What a loving father. Happy birthday, Bailey.
