When you’re running, jumping and messing about the place as a child, it’s only natural to pick up scrapes and bruises – but that still isn’t enough to stop the tears, sometimes!
This was what little Ayden Benesh-Lastrella found out recently, after suffering a cut to the forehead following a roll around in the laundry basket at home.
The four-year-old tot, from California, was more than a tad embarrassed and upset about facing the world with his injury – and that’s when mum Brittaney had a light-bulb moment.

In an interview with ABC News, the doting mum revealed that a very famous little boy known for his scar and the bravery it represents came into her head: Harry Potter.
Taking a crayon-pen, Brittaney drew on little Ayden’s forehead until the cut became part of Harry’s famous lightning bolt scar, and she topped it off with a pair of the wizard’s signature glasses – and it worked a treat.
After sharing photos of Ayden’s transformation on social media, Brittany’s handiwork went viral, and it has delighted Potter fans the world over.
What a clever, imaginative mum!
