We all like to think of our children as little artists - it just doesn’t help when they see practically every surface as a canvas.

Well, one Twitter user’s spouse saw some humour in their kid’s creativity.

Neurosurgeon and father Dr Eric Massicotte posted a photo to Twitter this Monday of his son’s whimsical drawing of a green house.

On their pristine white wall.

Rather than being angry, the doctor’s wife Kim framed the sketch and put a placard next to it, like you’d see in a gallery.

The piece is entitled ‘Interrupted House’, with the medium being marker on latex paint. The drawing was “Gifted to his parents, by surprise, on November 13th”.

What a great way to celebrate creativity!

So far Eric’s post has over 235K likes and almost 90K retweets!

“In the future when he buys a house, you should definitely return the favour,” joked one Twitter user.

Another person shared a similar story, saying, “My college roommate kicked a hole in her parents’ living room wall demonstrating her karate kicks. They framed the hole and labelled it ‘Anna yellow belt’.  Love this.”

We got a kick out of that!

It seems like the Massicotte home is one filled with hijinks! Kim posted this haunting creation their four-year-old made on Halloween:

Spooky! Let’s hope he sticks to his career as an artist.

What do you think of the Massicotte’s response, mums? What do you do when your kids draw on surfaces they shouldn’t?
