This is exactly what a couple from Mansfield in the UK have shared with the world this week, posting a video documenting their daughter Jaycie’s life from just a few cells to a full-grown baby.
The amazing footage was made by experts at Nottingham fertility centre CARE, and it shows the development of Jaycie’s life from embryo right through to toddler.
CARE president Dr Simon Fishel said of the video: “This is the first film to incorporate a baby’s first cell division from its moment of fertilisation beyond embryo cell division in the lab through pregnancy to a newborn – Jaycie.”
“We see beautiful Jaycie grow from just two cells to the 100 trillion cells of a human being, an astonishing journey which all of us humans must make, but seen together for the first time,” he added.
