We begin the day with tragic news, after a plane crashed while trying to land in Russia today, killing all 55 passengers and seven crew members on board.

The FlyDubai flight, travelling from Dubai to Russia, crashed in the city of Rostov-on-Don in the early hours Saturday morning.

While the exact cause of the accident has not yet been confirmed, early reports claim that high winds and poor visibility contributed to the crash, which occurred just off the runway. Sources have claimed that the plane circled the airport for two hours after its first failed landing attempt, before crashing on its second go.
