The victims of a tragic fire in Clondalkin were laid to rest by their devastated families yesterday.

Pregnant mum Annemarie O' Brien, 27, her unborn baby AJ; daughter Paris, aged two; and Paris' cousins Holly, three, and Jordan, four, perished in the blaze.

Holly and Jordan's mother, Biddy, 30, is still in hospital after sustaining serious burns.

The Irish Mirror reports an aunt of Biddy and Annemarie described both mums as devoted to their children.

"They were lovely children. AnneMarie loved her daughter Paris and she was a great mother who'd do anything for her. It's an awful tragedy we're all suffering," Bridget Moorehouse explained.

"Biddy is badly burnt and on life support. She's the best mother in the world."

Biddy and her children had been staying with Annemarie for a sleepover that night when the fire occurred.

The two women were extremely close, having grown up together.

The horrific fire broke out last Wednesday morning at about 2.30 am, and is believed to have been started by an electrical fault.

Our thoughts are with the family at this sad time.
