Top tips for icing a cake using buttercream

Complete your desserts with some tasty buttercream icing

200g icing sugar

150g butter

Few drops vanilla extract

Beat the butter for 5-8 minutes using a food mixer.  It should be really, really creamy. 
Sieve in the icing sugar and mix for another 5 minutes.  
Add in the vanilla extract.  This is the time to add food colouring if you want to colour your icing. 
Mix one last time.
