Jaime Ross and her husband Andrew are well versed in giving birth, and they knew from their first two children that it doesn’t always take that long. Their first child was born after only three hours, and their second child only took two and a half hours. Their third child, however, set a while new record. The mum-of-three explained:

“Contractions make me feel like I need to wee, so when possible while contracting I sit on the toilet.

“When I got out of shower I felt a contraction coming so I did just that, and all of a sudden my waters broke while I was sitting there. I told Andrew it felt like I needed to push already and he screamed ‘Noooo!”.

Andrew could already see the baby’s head, and when Jaime stood up the baby slid out into the toilet, without her having to push at all.

“I just stepped out of the way while Andrew pulled her out of the toilet. We then called an ambulance while Andrew was squatting behind me holding our new baby girl.”

Once baby Indie Louise was born, Jaime haemorrhaged, so the phone operator instructed Andrew about what to do. The ambulance arrived within 13 minutes and Andrew had already cut the cord and Jaime had delivered the placenta. She was brought to hospital and treated for blood loss (she is just fine now), and her new baby girl was deemed perfectly healthy.

Watch the amazing footage here, it has to be seen to be believed.
