Life stops for some families when a child goes missing or is abducted, and it takes a lot of hope to keep them going.

Indeed, hope has been key for Deborah Bradley and Jeremy Irwin, whose daughter Lisa was abducted five years ago, at just 10 months old.

Following the fifth anniversary of Lisa's disappearance, the couple have chosen to issue a fresh appeal to find their child.

“No matter how much you love her, we don’t want you, we just want her,” said Deborah, appealing directly to the person who took her daughter.

She added: “At this point, you obviously love her, but she needs to be with her family. Her brothers need her, me and Jeremy need her, and her entire family needs her. We just hope and pray that they do the right thing.”

Lisa went missing on the night of 4th of October, 2011. It was dad Jeremy who made the discovery, after returning home in the early hours of the morning, following a late shift at work.

The front door to the Irwin family home was unlocked, and all of the lights were on. Meanwhile, Deborah and the couple’s two sons were fast asleep.

Police had numerous lines of enquiry at the time, but little Lisa was never found. Her distraught parents still hold out hope for her return, however.

“I don’t want to look at her through pictures anymore. I just want her back,” said Deborah.

Let’s hope there is an end to this family’s torture, and soon.
