A photographer in Australia has shared a picture from a wedding he was working at and the image has gone viral after he went on a bit of a rant.

As guests we want to capture the bride in her dress as she walks down the aisle towards her future husband, using our phones to take it.

However, at a recent wedding, photographer Thomas Stewart captured a picture of the groom waiting for his bride, but he has to peer around the sea of phones to get his first glimpse - highlighting how technology can get in the way of special moments.

Thomas shared the photo because he has had enough of guests getting in the way of his perfect shot – something the bride and groom have paid a lot of money for him to get.

"You want great photos. We cannot do our best work with people getting in our way," he wrote under the photo he shared on Facebook.

"You will miss moments of your own wedding day because there’ll be an iPad in the way. You will miss seeing your partner’s face in the aisle. I'm going to make this very simple: brides and grooms, please have a completely unplugged wedding ceremony," he pleaded.

Pointing out that it’s not just the perfect shot that is being missed by him, guests are not experiencing the wedding properly because they are too busy trying to take photos or record videos.

"Imagine you're in the middle of your wedding ceremony. You're elated. You decide to take a quick glance towards your guests as you're sure they're sharing these happy moments with you, possibly even shedding a tear of their own. What do you see? NO FACES AT ALL AS THEY ARE ALL HIDDEN BEHIND PHONES AND CAMERAS! [sic]"

Right, I've had enough. I want to talk to you all about guests using mobile phones / cameras at weddings. I want to...
