We encourage our children to be honest, we urge them no to bend the truth and we insist that they do not tell outright lies, but no matter what we do we often find ourselves on the receiving end of the odd pork pie.

One dad, who wanted his son to learn the importance of being honest, went to extreme measures to teach him why being deceitful can be so destructive.

Recording footage, which has since gone viral, of his son telling an outright fib, the dad decided to play him at his own game until the little boy was forced to admit his lie to his outraged father.

That wasn't enough to satisfy this particular dad, however, who almost brought his son to tears by claiming he was going to confront the people who were supposedly giving him a hard time.
