What is a hot oil treatment?

If your hair is brittle, frizzy and dry, you can give it a much needed boost by applying a hot oil treatment from time to time. Treating your hair with some hot oil TLC is like giving it a super conditioning session. You can make dull and frizzy hair look healthy and gorgeous in just half an hour.

Hot-oil treatments are especially great for dry or damaged hair that has been subjected to heat or that has been chemically treated. Using hair dryers, curling irons, straightening irons, or hot rollers on your hair can do a lot of damage which hot-oil treatments can help counteract. Hot-oil treatments can be purchased from beauty-supply shops or chemists for you to use at home. Alternatively, you can go to a hairdresser for a more professional treatment.

There are a wide range of hot oil treatments available in shops. They are often sold in bottles or kits. They can range greatly in price from cheap to more expensive, so no matter what your budget, there should be one to suit.

Some hot oil treatments contain essential oils, and natural oils such as olive, jasmine, coconut, and jojoba.
