We all want gorgeous, shiny and sexy lips. A little lip gloss shine can reflect the light, drawing attention to your mouth and making your lips look plumper. So, how do you keep your gloss looking pretty and sexy, instead of messy?
Firstly make sure you choose the right shade of lip gloss. If you have fair skin, experiment with soft pink shades. For those with medium complexions, opt for a caramel nude or a coral shade. If you’ve deeper skin tones, you probably look best with bronze or plummy shades, pastels may make you look washed out.
Consider using a lip liner or lipstick to enhance your lip gloss. It’s important to avoid the ring around the mouth look that we’ve all seen at some point in our lives when lip liner is applied with too heavy a hand! Use a soft pencil or lipstick in a slightly deeper tone than the gloss to lightly fill in your lip. Don’t forget to apply it to the corners and right in the middle, as this is the first place where the colour fades.
To avoid lip gloss drips or getting it on your teeth, apply it on the centre of your lips first, then press them together; or use your finger to spread the gloss to thin it out at the edges.
