There are many aspects of pregnancy that mums-to-be like to keep to themselves including just how they feel about the gross, minute details that they are constantly being told about by their midwife. And the fact that they are probably analysing every single name in the world – trying to figure out if is is associated with someone they don’t like, or not.

Here are six confessions that pregnant ladies secretly think but would rather nobody knew about:

Telling themselves never again
Struggling to get up off the couch, lie comfortably in bed and to handle the heartburn can leave expectant mothers crying 'never again'. But nobody will admit it for fear they will be met with an onslaught of 'ah sure you'll be popping another out as soon as you have this one' - sure pregnancy is only about good things, right?

We don't like talking about the ins and outs, even with our midwife
Not feeling comfortable with all the nitty, bitty, gross details. Just because you are pregnant, doesn’t mean you will automatically feel comfortable when your midwife describes all the gross things that are definitely going to happen – even the very words mucus plug can make you gag.

Analysing names
Secretly analysing friends' kids’ names, and wondering which one could you pick that would top it in style, originality and basic coolness. Yes, they are secretly having a name off and you don’t even know about it.

Using pregnancy to get out of socialising
Not being able to bear sit in a room of drunk people or face others nattering on about how amazing their pregnancy was and how perfect they parent. We’ll just tell you we’re tired. Plus we couldn’t find a dress to fit.

Measuring bump against bump
Before, we used to be jealous of your car and holidays. Now we are comparing our bump with yours. Secretly happy that we look neat and you don't.

Blaming flatulence on others
Uncontrollable flatulence is the bane of many expectant mothers’ life. But that is not an excuse to blame your older children.
