We have a tragic update to the story of Australian twins Charli and Robbie Manago, with news that the toddlers passed away over Christmas.

Charli and Robbie were just 23 months old when their mother found them in the family’s swimming pool, floating and unconscious, on December 20.

The tots were treated at The Children’s Hospital in Westmead. Charli passed away there on December 26, with brother Robbie following three days later.

The siblings were laid to rest this week, in an emotional ceremony attended by family, friends and neighbours.

During the ceremony, the twins’ older sister, Angelica, asked God to ‘please welcome Charli and Robbie into your eternal home’.

Distraught parents Fleur and Robert, meanwhile, asked for donations to be made to the hospital instead of flowers.

The Managos are also parents to older children Bryan, Antonia and Trinity.

The twins’ heart-breaking story broke Christmas Week, with a friend of the family taking to social media to request ‘an army of prayers’ for the children and their family.

The accident occurred at the Manago home after mum Fleur left the toddlers alone for a matter of mere minutes, eating ice cream. The swimming pool gate was closed at the time.

When Fleur returned, she was shocked and devastated to discover her babies in the water.
