Grayson Smith is one of the most inspiring and brave little boys in the entire world – but some heartless trolls are having a laugh at his expense.

Grayson is terminally ill and living with a range of life-limiting conditions, and his mother, Jenny, shares his story via Facebook, on ‘Grayson’s Story’.

Sadly, internet trolls recently stole photos from the page and used them in a mocking meme, which read: “That face you make when your parents are actually cousins.”

As she fights to get certain people and publishers to remove the viral image online, mum Jenny has spoken out to express her devastation and deep disappointment over the incident.

The Alabama mum-of-three told CBS: “Some people think it’s funny, but I don’t find humour in hurting someone else for a laugh. Honestly, I’m just so ashamed that people actually find it to be entertaining. It’s disgusting.”

Grayson was diagnosed with the following conditions at birth which, combined, make his a terminal case: encephalocele, craniosynostosis, micronathia, thumb hypoplasia, cleft palate, hypospadias, congenital anomalies of the lower limbs, ASD of the heart, and apnea.

Despite being given only a week to live, brave Grayson celebrated his third birthday this year. He has battled his way through 24 head and brain surgeries and lives in hospice care.

So, as you can see, this little guy is nothing less than amazing.

Now, Jenny is on a crusade to get the shocking meme removed. Thankfully, she has had some success after directly contacting a number of pages – but others are not cooperating.

Sending out a rallying message, the devoted mother told local media: “The support we’ve felt is overwhelming. We have to stick together and fight back. We’re not the first family that’s been through this, and we’re not going to be the last.”
