Amazing pork won tons

Amazing pork won tons
These authentic pork won tons are a delicious start to you own homemade takeaway.

2 spring onions
3 button mushrooms
½ carrot, peeled
3 garlic cloves, peeled
2cm piece fresh ginger, peeled
1 tbsp fish sauce
2 tsp sweet chilli sauce
250g pork mince
Packet of won ton wrappers (found in any Asian supermarket) or 2 filo pastry sheets, thawed

Extra spring onion for garnish (optional)

Use a food processor to blitz together the vegetables, garlic, ginger and sauces.

Add in the mince and blitz to a paste.

If you are using filo pastry, take a small coffee cup and use it to cut circular shapes.

Scoop heaped teaspoons of the mixture into the centre of your wrappers or filo pastry.

Use a finger dipped in water to wet half the circle, fold over and press well to form a seal.

Bring a saucepan of water to a strong simmer.

Prepare a vegetable steamer by placing a piece of baking paper cut to the shape and place inside.

Steam the dumplings over the water in the prepared steamer for 8-10 minutes or until cooked through.

(This can be tested by cutting one in half to ensure the mince has cooked thoroughly).

Serve these using the garnish if desired, with soy sauce as a starter.
