A six-year-old girl in the UK was rushed to hospital after drinking from a milk bottle which doctors suspect was actually filled with glue.

According to reports, little Jessica Bamford took a drink from the bottle, which had been bought in a shop owned by supermarket chain Iceland, before screaming and spitting it out when she felt a “white, hardened substance” congeal around her mouth.

The little girl’s mother, Samantha, rushed to the local hospital with her daughter. Doctors’ initial examinations revealed that the substance “smelt like false nail glue”.

Thankfully, as Jessica did not swallow any of the substance, she was left with just a few red marks around her mouth, which have since faded.

A horrified Samantha said: “It’s just disgusting. Fortunately Jessica didn’t swallow any of the contaminated milk…Luckily I was there, but it could have happened to an OAP with nobody around, or a 12-month-old baby.”

In response to this terrifying report, a representative for Iceland told ITV News: “We are sorry to hear about this issue and would like the chance to investigate. We haven’t spoken to the customer yet so we would advise them to get in touch.”

This is just the latest report of foods being contaminated with unusual and dangerous substances and objects. Earlier this year, a mum took to Twitter to share her shock and disgust when her young daughter found a rubber glove in a pasty.
