"One innocent moment I will always remember is when my then 5 year old daughter, was sitting in class and the teacher was discussing religion and asked the children if there was one thing that they could change and had to change every day, what would it be. My daughter pipes up "my knickers" in front of the whole class. The teacher couldnt stop laughing and even rang home to tell me. Well she was right in a sense she does change them every day"

The 15 runners-up are as follows:
Sinead O’ Neill, Laura Smith,  Louise Dunworth, Gillian Guy,  Jennifer Cassidy, Kerri Culhane, Therese Murphy,  Jane Mullane, Aoife Reilly, Carmel Cassidy, Ali McCann, Cliodhna Rooney, Roslyn MacDonald, Susan Flavin and Hilary Weldon.

When my little girl ran into my bedroom one morning and had put on her school tie herself. Really, she had just tied it into a big knot but she was so proud and excited.

When my daughter was young and she was at mass, instead of saying 'peace be with you' when shaking hands she used to say 'pleased to meet you'...i never corrected her because i thought it was cute. :-)

The first time my one year old pulled me by my hair and my hubby by his ears and made us kiss each other :) ... kept doing it again and again and then he too put his head in between our cheeks and gave us a kiss.... Have no idea where he got this idea from but it was such a sweet moment :)

My 6 year old has only last week(through a lot of speech therapy) mastered how to say the "L" sound. It has been a sound that she has found very difficult to master. She ran into me the other day all excited with herself, mammy mammy listen to this, and then she started singing...lalalalalala....with perfectly sound "L's". Absolutely thrilled with herself :)

My nine year old daughter and I were at an Ireland rugby match recently. It was time to stand up for the national anthems so Amhrán na bhFiann started, I was singing loud & proud but my daughter was quiet for the whole anthem except for the very last line of the anthem "Seo libh, canaídh Amhrán na bhFiann" which was innocently replaced by "Shoving Connie around the field" - it still makes me laugh
