When my little daughter Hannah was two I gave her a little treat of a jelly baby sweet. I also had one myself. I had eaten mine and I noticed Hannah still hadn't touched hers (which was unusual as she likes her sweeties!!!). After a few minutes she came over to me with tears in her eyes and handed me the jelly baby and said - mammy I can't eat a baby.....well I just melted!!!!

Mine is a breastfeeding innocent moment. When my 2 year old came to see me in the hospital and to meet his new brother, he arrived in while i was feeding the new baby. He was very upset and said "baba eating mommy"! We had to do some quick education. It obviously worked as the other day, my husband was holding the now 3 month old baby in his arms and his big brother announced "daddy''s feeding lochlan"!!

A sticky situation

Apparently I was a very bold, brazen little devil when I was younger and my parents are constantly reminding me of the silly, naughty and downright embarrassing stuff I got up to. I have a whole selection of little stories that I've never live down to this day. I can't believe some of the things I did…..and especially since I'm just an angel now (NOT!!).

This one shows how stubborn and determined I was, even back then at 6 years of age!!

I was staying at a hotel with my family and my cousins and, as usual, my cousins and I were wandering around looking for adventure. There was a lovely big outdoor swimming pool with a gate into it but I couldn't see over it. I was smaller than they were and was forever being teased about it. So, being the curious and naughty girl that I was, I stuck my big head through the wire gate. And yep, you guessed it - my head got stuck. My cousins had to go and call the hotel staff and manager, who had to call the firebrigade to get cut the gate and get my head out. The whole scene caused chaos and they couldn't get me out for a few hours. Everybody laughs about it now but I'm sure my parents were less than impressed at the time!!

When I was pregnant on my third baby my two other boys, then aged 5 and 2, used to talk to and rub my bump most nights. Towards the end of my pregnancy, obviously getting fed up waiting for the baby to arrive, my 5 year arrived in with his toy screwdriver and came over to me and said he wanted his new baby out so he could talk to him and hold him. He then explained it was very easy really, he just needed to unscrew my belly button! So innocent.

Thankfully he didn't have to wait too long to get his new brother and no screwdrivers were needed!

My innocent moment was the first time my daughter encountered a coloured child. I was chatting to her mum and when we went our seperate ways my daughter turned to me and said " mam didn't that girl have a lovely sun tan".

Last week was my daughter's first birthday. My hubby had taken the day off so we were all relaxing after b/f in our bed and she was clambering all over us. We gave each other a little kiss as i was getting emotional remembering what was happening at that time a year ago and Lexie stopped what she was doing, clambered over to me and gave me a kiss on the lips, and then did the same to her dad. That's the first time she has done anything like that since the early day open mouth sloppy kisses - talk about make a perfect day even more special!

Last year on the first day of the snow just before Christmas, my youngest woke up early and opened her bedroom curtins. When she saw proper heavy snow falling, she came bursting into our room shouting that the clouds were crying. All excited and happy. We all had to get up at 7am get dressed and go out and play in the crying clouds :-) Still makes me smile to this day, so cute and innocent

for as long as i can remember ive been reminded of the time we were on holiday in waterford on my auntes farm - we were all getting ready to go to mass me and my sister in mathcin dresses. we were lined up by the car when i spotted a kitten - i went and picked it up and squeezed it so hard it pooed all down my dress. much to say i didnt go to mass that morning ...lol

now years later - and the mother of a 21/2 year old - we were at the same farm and as we were preparing to leave myself, partner, aunte, uncle, and cousons all glanced around to find Roisin hugging a cat - we all let out a 'ROAR' for her to put down the cat - both her and the cat jumped and we all burst out laughin - my aunt and uncle said it was like De-ja-vue..... luckily she didnt go as far as i did. but its such an innocent thing to do only i was the caught in the 'mess' :-D

You know how when the house is quiet, somebody is up to mischief?
Well, I caught my little girl in the downstairs loo, holding the toilet brush.
When I asked her what she was doing, she replied "I'm stirring the wee wee"
She was only 2. It was so cute :)
She loves singing "Don't Stop Believin'" but says Don't stop, I'm Leavin"!
Would you believe that as I type this, she is asking me for more raisins and when I said "just now"
She said "how many times do I have to tell ya??"

3 months ago we finally after 11 years of trying for a second baby (5 miscarriages) welcomed our Baby Boy Harry to our Family. Through out the pregnancy my 11 year old son was so excited. we involved in scans and doctors appointments. He walked me to the labour ward where there was needless to say many tears shed. A short while later by c-section we welcomed Harry. My doctor went out to my son to tell him we were all great and would be with him shortly. That night after he fed his baby brother his first bottle it was time to go and my heart nearly broke when I looked he was lying beside the baby rubbing his check and holding the babies handcrying not wanting to go home. I dashed for the camera to capture this memory so it will never be forgotten. The bond my two boys have is amazing and we are blessed with our 2 boys finally.

My innocent moment was when my daughter recently asked, "Mummy, if Santa brings you sticks and coal for Christmas when you are naughty, does he wrap them up first?" - I guess she was contemplating getting an unpleasant surprise on Christmas morning! Another favourite is, "Mummy, why did God invent wasps?" For the life of me, I can't come up with an answer to that one either...

my husband's grandmother, affectionately known as Mammy Claire to the whole town, passed away. It was my young boys first experience of death. She only lived down the road and they were quite close, so we decided to bring them to the church in the evening.

When it was time to go home, Jack (7) was wondering why weren't we bringing Mammy Claire with us. I explained she had to stay until the morning, he replied "Cool, Mammy Claire is having a sleepover in God's house."
A few months later, we received the memorial card and I put it up on the mantlepiece. When I was tucking Aaron (4) into bed and he asked when was Mammy Claire coming home. I explained that she wasn't, as best I could. He got cross and told me that if i gave her back her passport she might have some chance....

made me laugh and cry all at once :)
