My Beautiful caring 4 year old daughter at the time asked me a few questions one day on the way home from school,
A : Mammy do you have the goverments money ?
M: No A why do you think I would have the goverments money ?
A: Well the Goverment has lost all it's money and I was wondering did you take it !
M : No dear I have not taken the goverments money I only have my own money.
A : Thats all right then, I just had to ask so I can let my teacher know.
The same little girl is overly caring when we arrived home from the hopsital with our new baby, A was only 18 months old and already had an older sister aged 3, Her dad was hold the new baby just a few hours old in the sitting room the older girl was in one arm and the baby in the other, A looked up at her daddy and said you only have 2 arms but there are now 3 of us when can I go ? My husband smiled and mustered up all his strengt and lifed her in to his arms with the other 2 girls and informed her there is always room for 3 in my arms.

I recently took my daughter to have her eyes checked and for being such a good girl, she was given a balloon, which she loved. She refused to leave it in the car and brought it to the supermarket and then the library with her.

Unfortunately, the ballown burst. In the library, naturally, startling everybody. Poor Sadbh was devastated adn burst into floods of tears. The librarian felt so sorry for her that he tried to give her a pencil and a ruler to make up for it. Sadbh was having none of it and refused to take them at first, I was pretty embarrassed and wanted to get out of there so I took them and put them in my bag. One the way out, Sadbh told me, loudly, "I'm not going to say thanks." Morto.

When my lil boy was at preschool the teacher did a project on 'our community'. She was explaining to them the job of a Guard and said one thing the Guards do is stop people if they are drinking and driving. My lil boy stood up and said 'you cant drink AND drive cos you might spill it'! Pure innocence and drink related too!

While out with my daughter, 4 yrs at the time, and a friends 2 smallies (ages 5 & 7) I asked them what they wanted to be when the grew up. The 7 yr old wanted to be a teacher, the 5 yr old a hairdresser and when we got to my little one I expected another run-of-the mill reply and she answered "When I grow up, I want to be a polar bear."..... it was the most unexpected reply and the cutest answer in my world. :D 4 years later, it still makes me smile every time I picture her innocent little face looking into my eyes to tell me.

Our best family moment had to be with my 8yr old Autistic son Alex . We had gone visiting for his brothers communion and called into my hubbys Nana who is 92yrs and fully with it may i add !. She is very clean but has that old persons smell .

Alex is very touchy feely and had taken to rubbing her crinkly hands. He is very sensitive to smells and just says things as they are , he decided to tell her ' hey lady you need a shower you stink ' , just wanted the ground to swallow me up!!! She just didnt understand that he wasnt been rude .

Bathtime

My little sister - Fifi - was an awful terror, a pure divil and caused us no end of embarassment as she was growing up…I have lots of little stories to tell about her antics, games and mischief. She always managed to succeed in mortifying us in public!!
This one was pretty bad, it happened when she was about three years old…...
My Mum used to have great trouble trying to get Fifi to have a bath. She hated water - it terrified her and the bath routine drove her wild with anger. She'd practically explode with rage when the dreaded "b" word was mentioned. She'd resort to anything to get out of it - scream / shout / bawl / roar / runaway / hide / sulk - whatever divilment she could think of. The whole ordeal would drive Mum insane and she'd get really cross, slap her and tell her no icecream and no more treats if she'd didn't behave and let Mummy wash her. Most of her bold tantrums just failed, Mum would win and get her clean in the end. Funny thing is that she still hates water to this day!!.
One day, the entire family (uncles, aunts, grandparents, cousins etc) were all out in a fancy Asian restaurant in the city for a meal to celebrate my Dads birthday. The restaurant was packed and there was a variety of people of different races, religions and cultures there as it was a well known and popular multi cultural spot.
Fifi was getting bored waiting for the food to arrive so she shouted at the top of her voice "Mummy, lots of the people here are black and dirty, they didn't have their bath so they can't have icecream or treats". The conversation just stopped, Mum turned scarlett and the room was filled with a very awkward silence. Oh my god, the humiliation…..Mum just told her to "sit down, be quiet and behave". Somehow most people seemed to see the funny side of it….or else they didn't understand what she meant…..
Needless to say, we never visited that restaurant again!!

my precious moment happened yesterday.. My youngest of 4 kiddies started school, she was so upset when she woke, she said she was sick because she had so many sad feelings, so we worked through and got to school, i put 1 of my bracelets in her little bag, i told her when she was sad she could put her hand in her bag and feel the bracelet and be close to me! When it was time for me to go, i waved her a little wave and she is waving with one hand and wiping her tears with her tissue with the other hand.. When it was 12.30 i went to collect her, she arrived out of the class wearing the bracelet, my precious moment was when she INNOCENTly said to me, mam the bracelet was amaing, i could feel you on my arm all day, i was so touched to think she felt me in her classroom all day ♥

while away on hols this summer my 4 daughters became addicted to the "teddy bear machines", where u try grab a teddy. after spending a small fortune on it my husband eventually grabbed a teddy. my girls were delighted especially the 5yr old. once the teddy was safely tucked in her arms she asked my husband...." daddy is that how mammy & you got me...". all we could do was erupt in fits of laughter.

One of my favourite momenst was when one of my sons was chatting about when he was born. He was a very big baby, 11lbs 5 oz, so theres always alot of talk about himcoming into the world. Despite his size it was a lovely experience. Anyway, Darragh now 7yrs, said to me 'Mummy I know exactly what happened when you first saw me?' 'What Darragh, what happened?'
'We fell in love . . .'

My son recently started school and told his new teacher that his Nana had given him a million euro for his birthday. His teacher was quite amazed by this and subtly asked me about it. Much to my embarrassment (and his teacher's amusement) I explained that my mother had given him prize bonds for his birthday. Conor who is 4 didn't really get what the bonds were so my mother had jokingly told him that it was a ticket for a million euro!!! She forgot that 4 year old are very innocent!!

When my son was about 3,a fire engine passed us by one day in the car,I was explaining to him that it was on its way to put out a fire,He then said to me "its not a fire engine a fire engine starts fire, its a water engine that puts them out".... you can understand his logic

At the weekend after giving my little kiddies a bath I took out the hairdryer to dry off my 27 month old daughers mop of curls. She sat on her little baby chair & said "wait one minute mammy I need to get my book like you do in the hairdressers" so over she went & picked out a book & sat down on her chair & loved having her hair done, it's the the innocent moments that put a smile on your face x
