According to researchers in Quebec, eating chocolate during pregnancy is actually good for you!
After following 100 pregnant women from the start of their pregnancy right through to the end of the nine months, they found that eating chocolate helped the flow of blood around the womb, placenta and foetus.
Not that we needed an excuse to devour one or two boxes of chocolate or anything... but here are ten more reasons all mums-to-be deserve to treat themselves:
1. Dealing with swollen feet on a daily basis
NO shoe fits no matter how hard you try to squeeze your foot into it – it’ll be slippers from here on in.
2. You can no longer paint your toe nails
You can’t even see them so it doesn’t ACTUALLY matter, but still...
3. You’ve attended more weddings sober than you care to remember
Nothing will get rid of the image of Uncle Tim twerking to Miley Cyrus. Nothing.
4. You are growing a PERSON
To be fair that should be reason enough for a giant bar of chocolate with chocolate cookies on the side.
5. Your back hurts when you sit down, stand up, lie down, walk...
You know where we're going with this...?!
6. You have stretch marks on your boobs
They may be looking nice and pert now but you just know what’s going to happen when Baby arrives. *Sag
7. You found the car keys in the fridge AGAIN
Baby brain, anyone?
8. Your uterus will stretch about 500 TIMES its normal size
Oh dear.
9. EVERYTHING smells
And none of it nice!
10. Your skin tone has changed so much your foundation doesn’t match your neck
And you spent YEARS finding the perfect shade.
