Michael Sheahan, a 78-year-old granddad from Limerick just fell 10,000 feet in his first ever skydive to raise money for charity. Speaking about the experience, Michael commented: "The wind on the way down was unbelievable. It was like getting a facelift, but I really enjoyed it."

Michael raise €12,000 for University of Limerick’s Adrienne Hussey Scholarship, which does research into brain aneurysms.

He raised the money in honour of his wife Evelyn who died from a cranial aneurysm this year. Michael and his five sons have organised a number of fundraising events since she passed away in July.

“We want to do more." Michael said. "People have been very good so far. One thing I’ve been amazed by is the amount of people who have been affected by aneurysms”.
