They made headlines around the country (and, indeed, the world) when they welcomed their babies within 24 hours of each other, and the now-famous Irish sisters are celebrating again today.

Just three days after sisters Mairead Fitzpatrick, Joeline Godfrey and Bernie Wall welcomed their little ones in the same hospital, a fourth sister has given birth!

Although Christina Murray was due last Sunday – well before her three sisters gave birth – Friday evening marked the day for the arrival of her tot.

Christina welcomed a baby girl named Annalise at 6pm yesterday evening, adding to her family’s joy.

Christina’s three sisters all gave birth at Castlebar Hospital earlier this week, and they were shocked by the totally unprecedented coincidence.

Mairead gave birth to son Thomas Óg at 3.25am on Tuesday, with sister Joeline going on to welcome daughter Sorcha at 11am. Third sister Bernie made it a hat-trick then, by giving birth to baby Phelim at 8.25pm that day.

Speaking at the time, Mairead told local media that hospital staff were completely taken aback by the sequence of events.

“They couldn’t believe it, I’d say they just thought it was crazy. We used to just say to them that there was four of us expecting, but we never realised it’d happen all on the same day,” she said.

Congratulations to the family on all four beautiful arrivals!
