Endless lists of grocery products... Dragging bags (and kids) to and from the car; to and around and out of the shop... (lets leave out what is happening in the shop with two pre-schoolers...) Loadings grocery bags (and kids) to the car... Dragging all the things (and kids) back home, chasing them (kids) around the neighbouring houses so that they go back home (before the fish go off...), packing the content of the bags to the fridge, realising that she actually managed to take that pack of beef out of the trolley (was supposed to be for beef-stroganoff dinner tonight)... Ech, making fish pie instead, before that fish really go off... After two hours of pealing/boiling/cooking/frying/mushing/spicing/sli cing/pouring/chopping/cutting/washing/stirring/mix ing here comes an hour of : 'no, I am not hungry', 'I don't like fish' , 'I don't like potatoes', 'I don't like this sauce', 'it's too hot', 'it's too hard', 'it's too soft', 'I don't want it', 'it's yucky' ' and about a dozen of other reasons why my meals are not edible, here comes the hour of tidying up, cleaning the kitchen, washing about two dozens of kitchen utensils, drying them, boxing them for tomorrows ceremony!!!!
Am I the only one who hates cooking but don't see any other options for feeding my family with healthy and nutritious meals?
I feel so strongly about this, I even created a 4 minute Survey:
