Day One!

We survived it well it's more accurate to say Mammy survived and baby had a ball of a time & didn't even notice that mammy wasn't around.


I got up extra early so we could get in loads of cuddles before we made the trek to our childminder and I'd have time to spare to spend a little time there and slip away quitely. It was nice that I was starting a new job, I think it was more of a distraction than going back to the same old routine. I was so busy that it was lunch time before I made my first(and only) check in call.


Lunch was great, it was such a luxury to be able to sit and eat a meal without trying to entertain or feed my little girl at the same time. Likewise for trips to the loo, I even sat in there for a few minutes enjoying the silence and the fact that I wasn't rushing back to make sure the little one wasn't getting up to mischief!


I couldn't wait to see her when I got home and she got so excited when she saw me it really warmed my heart


All in all I think it went well, I'm optimistic about the future and I really think we'll be just fine. Now on to the next chapter of my life... I'm officially a Wrking Mammy!
