Week 3 with 2 additional teenage guests from France in the house I really wasn't quite sure if €100 would do 8 of us!

I ventured alone this week for my weekly shop to focus.  With no calculator in hand off I went.

This week I will admit to stocking up on burgers, chicken nuggets, pizzas, crisps and bakery goodies along with the norm. I was pleasantly surprised to find the fresh Inisvale Quarter Pounders were half price, only €1.44 for 4. This was fantastic!

I was particularly drawn to the fruit this week with a bag of crunchy Granny Smith Apples only 99 cent and a punnet of blueberries for €1.79. Better value than the markets.

Laundry detergent was on my list this week. So I opted for the Formil Biological Liquid. 20 washes for only €1.99 looked good to me and a promise of dazzling whites! I will hold my hands up and say it took the dirt out of the socks which is quite a job in our house.

The XXL Chicken Nuggets blew me away - not only were they a great size but they were actual fresh frozen chicken pieces in breadcrumbs and less than half the price of a known brand. They went down a treat.

As each week goes by I'm discovering more and more choice in the aisles as well as new products.  I mentioned last week the value of the cereals - well the Simply Sumptuous Honey Peanut Crunch is being eaten in our house like it’s going out of fashion, especially with the 15 and 16 year olds.

Our dinner of the week with the heavy weather consisted of burgers off the BBQ, potatoes wedges, salad and cheese coleslaw.

Inisvale Quarter Pounders, O Connell Bakery Burger Buns, Harvest Basket Potato Wedges, Oaklands Mixed Leaf Salad, Baby Plum Tomatoes, Meadow Fresh Cheese Coldslaw, Milbona Cheese Singles

I'm still pinching myself all eight of us were well fed for under €12! Honestly I really don't know if I could ever spend money in another supermarket again.

End result this week was €113.10 for a family of 8. Try beat that elsewhere!
