Tip 11: Keep your ankle biters busy

It can be difficult trying to keep little minds and hands occupied when I'm trying to prepare a family meal. So when IKEA asked me to take part in one of their family activities, I was thrilled! I live in Cork and the MummyPages team were going to kindly pop my equipment in the post to me but I was delighted to have an excuse to make the trip to Dublin. With the new road from Cork to Dublin it only took me 2-hours 40 minutes to get to the IKEA store. The children slept and so were full of energy to help me find our IKEA paints, paper and felt tip pens. We had a stroll around the showroom and I was quickly out with my camera phone snapping furniture and ideas for my house! Lunch in the IKEA restaurant was delicous and so reasonable too. When we got home it was time to prepare dinner and the paints, paper and felt tip pens kept my two occupied while i got on with the it - everyone was happy!
