Tip 12: Shark Infested Sofa

It never occurred to me that our IKEA sofa could be transformed into a pirate ship in a matter of seconds. Take one cream throw for a sail, some coloured paper to create shark fins, some soft toy mice to have on deck and a dish-washing brush for a sword!  We even got creative with our used kitchen roll inner which doubled-up as a telescope. One pirate hat and sparkly scarf for one of the shipmates and we were ready to re-enact a scene from our favourite pirate movie!  The children had so much fun playing this game and it was so easy to set-up, I don't think they will ever think of their IKEA sofa in the same way again!
