Week One!

I am like the walking dead.... absolutely shattered! My floors need washing, the whole house needs tidying and there is a pile of recycling that needs to go into the wheely bin but it will wait until tomorrow. Mammy needs to get into her PJ's and cuddle up with a book (I'll probably get through 2 or 3 pages before passing out).
Work was actually so much easier than I thought. I look forward to seeing Carlie at the end of the day but I'm not moping and worrying about her all day which is great. I do kind of feel like I have nothing to talk about but her... chatting at coffee break about our plans really puts on spotlight on the fact that I have no life! It's only temporary though... Daddy has been overseas for a few months but is due back in a few weeks and I intend on reclaiming at least a couple of hours a week for "me time".
The new routine is tough, getting up at the crack of dawn instead of having lazy cuddles in bed in the mornings isn't much fun. Carlie seems to want to spend as much time as possible with me in the evenings since she's missing out during the day and is refusing to sleep no matter how tired she is. Housework has been non-existent this week so I'll be catching up at the weekend.
We're getting there however and I am enjoying having some adult company again. I'm really looking forward to spending the next two days with my sweety pop. Happy Weekend to all x
