Celebrity Big Brother star Courtney Stodden announced in May that she was pregnant with her first child with her husband, Doug.
Sadly, however, the 21-year-old lost her baby three months into the pregnancy and has been vocal on social media about how she has been coping since her loss, sharing a heartbreaking open letter to her "precious angel"
And in a recent "symbolic gesture", the reality star shaved off her hair, explaining that she wants to step into “this new chapter in [her] life fresh and new.”
"I've been thinking and I have decided that I want to give back to my angel with a symbolic gesture. And, that to me, is shaving my hair off, because I want to step into this new chapter into my life fresh and new," she told her 150K followers.
Sadly, talking to Entertainment Tonight, the 21-year-old said that despite hoping it would help her heal, she has instead found herself struggling to find herself since she shaved off her hair.
"I'm just feeling a little lost right now. I thought shaving my head would give me some kind of relief from the pain I've been experiencing... but it hasn't," the reality TV star explained.
"I'm wearing wigs in order to try and make myself feel like I used to feel before all of this stuff happened. I almost feel like I'm trying to find myself all over again... or maybe find myself for the first time in my life. I don't know."
That's not the only thing Courtney did to help with the healing following devastating miscarriage; the model was recommended to buy a life-like 'reborn' doll, which she carries around with her like a real baby.
Sharing a picture of the doll on Instagram, Courtney wrote: "I know it may seem a little strange but my therapist suggested that having him may help me cope with my loss. #rebornbaby."
