Recently, one brave Irish mum went viral around the world after she took to social media to share her heartbreaking domestic abuse ordeal at the hands of her partner; now, it seems as though he could be facing major trouble.

According to reports today, Francis Usanga – the former partner of mum Emma Murphy – could face deportation as a result of the assault allegations against him.

Sources claim that Immigration Service officials have placed a warning on Usanga’s file regarding the investigation into Emma’s domestic abuse allegations.

The Sunday World reports that the note is for Usanga’s case-worker, and it confirms his status as a suspect in a domestic abuse investigation by Irish authorities. It is added that, while permission to reside cannot be revoked in ordinary circumstances, this note may play a role when it comes to the expiry and potential renewal of that permission.

Previous reports stated that Usanga was questioned by the Gardaí after the release of Emma’s video, and that the fitness instructor made ‘certain admissions’ during the interview.

Emma has been praised for her courageous move in sharing her story with the world. Recently, she said that while her life is “far from perfect”, her children’s smiles have been getting her through.
