Pregnancy is meant to be one of the most incredible times of your life; however, there are a few embarrassing things that your body will go through – whether you like it or not

Here are six embarrassing things your body goes through, that nobody tells you.

You will experience constant discharge

A pale yellow or white discharge will be a constant factor throughout your pregnancy. It is due to an increased vaginal blood flow and is perfectly ok; however, if it is itchy, burning or starts to smell have a chat with your doctor as you might have an infection

You will sweat, a lot

Throughout your pregnancy, you will sweat a lot and in places you never knew you could perspire in. Blame the fact that there is extra blood pumping around you so your body’s temperature increases - your sweat is there to cool you down.

You will burp and fart

As your baby grows, your insides will become crowded leaving you feeling gassy and bloated; therefore, you will find that you are both burping and farting a lot more. The best way to prevent it is  to avoid large meals and fried foods and enjoy a walk soon after dinner.

Itchy and enlarged nipples

As your breasts grow, the areola increases in size and the stretching can cause an itch. Avoid wearing wool and cashmere to help reduce the problem. However, if you notice a bloody discharge you should consult your doctor.

You will drool at night

Some expectant mothers can produce excessive saliva throughout their pregnancy, so you may find that you are waking up with drool on your face and pillow. While there is not much that you can do about it, a glass of water with lemon slices may help to relieve it a little.

You may leak urine

With looser pelvic muscles and a baby putting pressure on your bladder you will leak a little urine, especially when you sneeze or laugh. There is not much that you can do so stock up on light sanitary pads.

While pregnancy may cause you to experience a few embarrassing moments, it will no doubt be worth it all when you are cuddling your baby in your arms.
