Yesterday, it was reported that an Offaly couple had welcomed quadruplets, and today the family have revealed the information that we all want to know – the names!

David and Anita Kelly welcomed their beautiful babies – all boys – at Dublin’s Rotunda Hospital on Saturday afternoon, with their little ones going on to make headlines all over the country.

Speaking after the news broke yesterday, the babies’ delighted aunt, Elaine Kelly, shared an update on the births.

“It was quite a quick delivery, they were all born between 12.17pm and 12.30pm on Saturday afternoon. Since then, they are in a special care unit and they are being very well taken care of by the staff of the Rotunda,” Elaine told Midlands 103 radio.

Mum Anita then took to her Facebook page to share the babies' names, revealing them to be Tom, James, Charlie and Luke Kelly.

This is the second reported instance of quadruplets born in Ireland in the past year, with Limerick couple Grace and James Slattery welcoming three daughters and a son last year.

After sharing a photo of new dad James holding each one of his babies, he earned the nickname of ‘The Quad Father’.

Such wonderful news for the Kelly family. We’re sending them our best wishes at this lovely time.
