Thank you very much for picking my family to do this trial. We were all very 'egg'cited when the eggs arrived. The kids surrounded the poor delivery man like a pack of hungry dogs. The Cadbury Egg 'n' Spoon packaging looks good and has the distinctive Cadbury design. I have seen the product in the supermarket before but I never tried them. My four sons had great fun eating the eggs with a spoon although I was disappointed to find only two spoons in the pack. The eggs are available in two flavours-milky mousse and chocolate mousse. The milk chocolate egg is thick yet easy to crack and the mousse is light, soft and creamy. We all agreed that both flavours were delicious although I preferred the milky mousse. I promised the kids that I would buy the eggs as a treat for them again as they really enjoyed the novelty of eating the chocolate eggs like a boiled egg. I would definitely recommend Cadbury Egg 'n' Spoon to a friend.

My 3 boys were thrilled to see these come through the door as they love chocolate! We had all heard of Cadbury but had not tasted these before. Overall the chocolate mousse was favoured but my 4 year old preferred the milky mousse. They did find the spoon hard to crack the egg but liked the idea of having the spoon. Again I believe there should be four spoons because if you have more than 2 children there wouldn't be enough! I would buy these again and I'd say if my children were in the shop with me and saw these, they would look for them too.

Hi everyone...There was SUCH excitement when the mummypages box arrived, had to swiftly remove and hide so all the family could give feedback as probably would be demolished in the blink of an eye...hounds here!!

We are a family of 5, 3 girls aging from 16,13 and 9..so choc is essential for sanity in this household.

We tried the eggs the following day...freezing outside, so fire on and sat down and tore open the box.

The kids had seen adverts prior and were familiar with these choc eggs...the adults not so...its a fantastic concept with the box and spoon enclosed ,like buying ordinary eggs. These would be very handy as treat on the go as eggs stay enclosed in box and no mess in the handbag.

Overall favourite was the egg with milky mousse, felt that the choc mousse was fine with the first spoon or two..but then was very rich and strong aftertaste of sweetness...a bit sickly, older girls felt more sugar than a choc indulgence.

Note on the packaging the writing very small at side of the egg box to differenciate which type...Saoirse the youngest loved the spoon enclosed, the other 2 daughters just milled into the egg!!It was a bit of fun and a laugh cracking open the egg and tasting...

It was truly a perfect treat, the only problem is that there are 5 in this house so one box not sufficent..would a six box be too much....??Definitley will buy this in the future, especially of going on hols..in the car on long journeys. Also would be a nice treat on a friday or if a sleepover...will def use these eggs in EASTER or birthday cake to decorate the cake.

Will treat the grandparents to a box of EGG N SPPON box when we pop over....

thanks mummypages for letting us help with this very hard task!

definintly a hit here! i had only recently seen these eggs on a stand in our local supermarket but hadnt bought them yet,

they were shared between mam, dad and daughter age 6, we had to fight over spoons and if we bought them to share with friends this might be a problem

the milky moose was the favoured egg, my daughter got abit full after eating the moose and egg top so didnt really finish the rest of the shell, she said she liked that they were easy to bite into

she also loved the boxes and played with then afterwards,

we will definitly buy them again and would recommend them to friends

oh my goodness to see these arrive in the post to say i was delighted would of been an understatement!
my son (2 and a half) myself and my partner all tried them, is a shame there were only 2 spoons in each container as not really enough to go round for more than 2 people! concensus in our house was that the chocolate ones were the nicest, the white choc ones were a little sickly.
my son loved biting the top off his egg then scooping out the moose!! was great entertainment for him! my partner just shoved the whole thing in his mouth! haha ive seen these advertised in the shops but i always thought they were a tad overpriced for what they were, having had them now would definately purchase as an easter treat. will definately reccomend! thanks mummypages and cadbury happy house this week!

I am sharing the views of my husband and three girls. The eggs were gone. Yes gone before I got home! So regretfully the feedback is second hand. We were aware of this product before the trial, having been bought a box last Easter. The chocolate mousse was the outright winner in this house, saying that there wasn't anything left of the other so it can't have been too bad! My big girl would like them to be bigger, littlest one likes the purple colour(!) Middle girl thought that there ought to have been 4 spoons. I saw these in my local Tesco last week at 5euro a box which I feel is very eggspensive but today they are 2.50 so I will definitely buy a box or two for Easter treats. Thanks for allowing my family take part in this trial Cadburys & Mummypages!

My kids were delighted when these arrived and couldn't wait to get stuck in, with 5 children the 2 boxes were opened and each had a bit out of both, but with only 2 spoons in each box the eldest had to make do with a teaspoon. The small 3 loved cracking open the egg while the 2 eldest just bit the top of but the taste was unanimous they all preferred the vanilla, myself included, I did find them a little bit luscious but that would just stop me eating more than 1. While they are a tasty treat the price would put me of buying them regularly as 2 boxes would have to be bought but special occasions like easter they will be bought! Delighted to have taken part and I will be recommending them to family and friends

LOLDelighted to be choosent to test Cadbury Egg 'n' Spoon as were the kids!
Firstly I had seen these in the grocery store and the kids had begged me to buy them but I felt the 5 euro price was a little high. So we had never tasted them prior to this trial.Sad
Secondly as a family we are HUGE fans of Cadbury Creme Egg. It is an addiction of mine, just lucky they are not available throughout the whole year.

LOLIt is a nice novelty to have them in an egg carton, nice touch. Plus you get a spoon with it to crack it open like a boiled egg. The youngest did this but myself , my eldest and the hubby just ate the top off and started to munch.
Flavour wise I prefared the Milky Mousse flavour as did my nine year old daughter and husband. But my eldest who is 13 went for the Chocolate Mousse, she is big into her chocolate.
My 9 year old loved cracking it like an egg. As she said, she loved eating it lots of different ways. On the first one I used the spoon but the second one I just ate it by licking out the inside then gobbling up the rest up. Husband and 13 year old ate both of them without the spoon.
It was fun and enjoyable for us all, very much a novelty idea. Although it wouldn't be the prefect treat for our family, maybe just for the 9 year old.
My 13 year old thinks the packaging is a waist of time and that it's not easily affordable for her as you have to buy four of them together. Also the five euro charge is far too expensive when a Creme Egg although smaller is only 85c. She would never buy the four pack but would buy one if sold separately at the right price. The 9 year old would eat them again but only the Milky Mousse. Tongue
I can't say I'd add them to my Easter Egg shopping as I don't think they are worth the price, when I can buy four creme eggs, stick them in an egg cup, hand the kids a teaspoon and all four for only 3.40!
I would recommend them for a one off treat for others to buy their family. But not a daily shop.

The other point I'd have to add is the chocolate lacked that Cadbury milky melt in your mouth feeling. This is one of the reasons I buy Cadbury over a different brand. But then it seems Cadbury's chocolate is less and less milky all the time.
Thanks again for choosening me and my family as taste testers. OMG Here are our scores out of 10.
Husband 5/10
13 year old 2.5/10
9 year old 7.5/10

Myself 5/10
Totalling 20/40 or an average 5/10 Depressed

Hi There, this was a great trial and such good fun. I didn't even feel guilty eating the chocolate as it was 'research'. I had heard of the Milke Egg N Spoon before but never tried it (I've been missing out!!). I loved the samples and my kids and husband fought over which ones they wanted. The kids and I loved the Chocolate Mousse and my husband loved the Milky mousse. It was easy even for my kids to spoon out the contents and crack the top. This would definetely be a treat in my house.

Thank you for giving my family the opportunity to participate in this trial. I had saw the product in shops before but none of us had actually tried them before. I loved the packaging of the product especially the perfect little spoons included.
The chocolate mousse was definitely my personal favourite. My hubby preferred the milky one. The kids loved both and just wanted more. I will definitely be buying them in the future and have told hubby the chocolate mousse ones better be on his shopping list for me for easter.
The kids loved using the little spoons and cracking their eggs and scooping. They are perfect for little people and big people.
Thanks again
