Focus Ireland has a dedicated team that works with families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Over the last year, the charity’s family support services in Dublin have seen a doubling of the number of families becoming homeless. More than 8,000 people were helped by Focus Ireland and one in seven of those people using the services was a child.

The charity is expanding services as the need for them grows. It provides supported emergency accommodation as well as childcare centres and homework club for families in North Dublin and Waterford. They currently have bases in Dublin, Cork, Kilkenny, Limerick, Sligo, Wexford, and Waterford and this year hope to branch into North East and Kerry, becoming a national organization.

Focus Ireland also works with families living in B&Bs, hostels and other forms of emergency accommodation across the country. They aim is to help families at risk of homelessness to keep their homes and to move families who are homeless into a home in their own community as quickly as possible.

Your donations will help fund these efforts and also allow Focus Ireland to provide a trained childcare team to run homework clubs afterschool activities and childcare facilities for homeless children.
