'Hard to believe': Pregnant kickboxer addresses criticism over her baby bump
She caused quite the stir among our readers during the week, when we shared footage of her kickboxing 36 weeks into her pregnancy, and now Australian fitness fanatic Chontel Duncan has addressed criticism of her lifestyle choices.
The mum-to-be, who is expecting a son with husband Sam, told US Weekly that she is merely taking the healthiest approach to pregnancy that she knows how.
“People think I’m harming my baby…and that I’m all about staying skinny and not nourishing my Little D [her baby]. I know it’s hard to believe that someone can carry a child the way I am, but in reality, a lot of women carry like me,” she said.

This was a direct response to comments that Chontel’s baby bump is ‘too small’, after she posted a shot of her pregnancy figure compared to her friend’s, although the other lady was four weeks ahead of her at the time the photo was taken.
While she may have come in for criticism, Chontel insists that she is happy in herself with her pregnancy journey.
“No comment can dull my shine. I’m literally smiling every day, and so excited,” she added.
