A mum-of-two has tragically lost her battle with cancer – just weeks after seeing her final wish for her children granted.

When Jade Harris was diagnosed with cancer in her lungs and bones in May 2014, it was her greatest wish to create magical lifelong memories with her children at Disneyland in Paris.

With the help of generous friends and family, Jade’s wish was granted. Having been given £500 to make the trip possible, the 23-year-old enjoyed a fairytale trip at Christmas with four-year-old daughter Amelia and three year-old son Iestyn.

It was a bittersweet trip for the family, however, with Jade reportedly losing her battle to cancer on Monday this week.

According to Wales Online, Jade passed away surrounded by her loved ones and friends.

Jade’s aunt paid tribute to the young mother’s dedication to her children, telling the newspaper: “She didn’t give up the fight. She gave us two wonderful children that every one of us will always make sure they know what a fantastic mother she was.”

There are so many of these tragic stories of late, with young mum-of-two Aimee Willett, who has terminal cancer, recently sharing her story as part of a campaign to lower the age of cervical smear tests.

Jade's children will no doubt find comfort in the special memories they have with their mother.
