From rubber gloves in pasties to worms in chicken nuggets, people have been making some terrifying and dangerous discoveries in their food of late, and this report is sure to leave you squirming.

A pregnant woman in Sydney has blasted food company Nestlé after she discovered a spider in her bowl of Maggi instant noodles.

Mum-to-be Hope Faith took to Facebook to share a photo of the nasty surprise, expressing her anger over the danger it potentially posed to her unborn child.

“I am absolutely disgusted, especially because I am pregnant. It made me dry retch, it’s absolutely vile,” she wrote, on the Camden-Narellan Community Noticeboard page.

Commenting on the incident to the Daily Telegraph, Hope said that it has resulted in sleepless nights, worrying over what could have happened to her child if she had ingested the creature.

Her post has since gone viral, leading to Nestlé issuing a statement of apology over the incident.

“We take every complaint seriously and we have been in contact with the consumer this morning. We will use the information the consumer gives us to investigate thoroughly and improve our products and consumer experience,” the representative said.
