When you lose your partner while you’re carrying their baby, it will spark a range of emotions, including the devastation that your tot will never get the chance to meet their father.
This was one of the many thoughts that ran through Nicole Babb’s mind in the aftermath of her partner Deonta Bennett’s death.
Nicole currently is, and was expecting the couple’s second child at the time, and prior to the tragic loss she and Deonta had discussed getting a professional photographer to do a maternity shoot with them.
With her baby due on March 25, Nicole decided to go ahead with the photo shoot plan and hired Sidney Conley to work his magic.
When asked to include Deonta in the photographs in a special way, Sidney worked each shot so that Deonta’s image would appear alongside his family. The results, as you can see, are nothing short of stunning.
The photos – which also feature their four-year-old son Landen – show the couple walking hand-in-hand, and Deonta embracing Nicole’s baby bump.
Since sharing the images online, hearts have been touched and broken by Nicole and Deonta’s story, but the expectant mum told Global News that the pictures turned out perfectly.
She said: “He would’ve been so excited, just like when we did our engagement photos. And just to top it off he would’ve been much more excited because he had his baby girl.”
The circumstances of Deonta's death are said to be still under investigation. Our thoughts are with Nicole and Landen at this time.
