Broccoli with lemon and anchovies

450g purple sprouting broccoli, or regular broccoli

6 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

2 garlic cloves, sliced thinly

Pinch of dried chilli flakes

6 anchovy fillets, chopped, or 2 tbsp anchovy paste

Juice of ½ lemon

Salt and pepper

Place the broccoli in a steamer and steam for 5-6 minutes

Pour olive oil into a pan and fry the garlic slices over a low heat, until lightly coloured, but be careful they don't burn.

Remove the garlic with and put aside.

Add the chilli flakes and chopped anchovies or anchovy paste to the pan and cook until the anchovies melt into the oil.

Season with salt and pepper, add the lemon juice and return the garlic to the pan. Stir well.

Drizzle the dressing over the steamed broccoli and serve immediately.
