250ml cream of mushroom soup
300ml full fat milk
400g green beans

2 large onions, sliced

120g all-purpose flour

Oil for frying

Salt and pepper to season

Make the onion rings first.

Soak them in a bowl of milk while you heat the oil in a frying pan.

Coat the onion rings in the flour and place on the frying pan.

Cook until golden and set aside on a kitchen towel to drain off excess oil.

To make the beans.

Combine the beans with the mushroom soup in a saucepan and cook over a medium heat until it is boiling. Reduce the temperature and allow to simmer for 15 minutes.

Pour the beans and soup into a serving dish and place the onion rings on top.
