Hot caramel chocolate

This delicious caramel hot chocolate will go down a treat.
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
Pinch salt
100ml heavy cream, half for the drink and half for the topping
6 heaped tbsp cocoa powder
600ml milk
1 tbsp chocolate chips
1 tsp vanilla essence
Gently heat the sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat until it forms a golden caramel. Add the salt and 50ml of the cream.
In a separate saucepan, stir in the cocoa and add the milk and chocolate chips.
Heat over medium heat until the chocolate is melted. Pour in the caramel.
In a small bowl, pour the vanilla essence into the rest of the cream and shake until it turns into whipped cream.
Pour the cocoa into the mugs and top with the cream. Sprinkle with any extra cocoa powder and serve.
