Indian Spiced Chicken
A delicious taste of India for the whole family to enjoy, with thanks to Moy Park. 

1 x 1.3kg Whole Moy Park Chicken

200ml natural yogurt

1 tsp. cayenne pepper

1 tsp. curry powder

½ tsp. ground turmeric

½ tsp. black onion seeds

1 tbsp. ginger puree

1 tbsp. tomato puree

1 tbsp. garlic puree

Salt & pepper to season

Take a sharp knife and make some scores across the flesh of the chicken to allow the marinade to penetrate into the flesh.

To make the marinade, place the yogurt into a deep metal bowl and add all of the dry spices, then add the wet ingredients. Fold into the yogurt until it is thoroughly mixed through.

Place the scored chicken into the bowl with the marinade and roll it around until the bird is completely covered in the spiced yogurt.

Remove the chicken from the bowl and place in a deep roasting tray.

Bake for around 1 hour 45 minutes at 190°C / Fan 170°C / Gas Mark 5 or until bird is fully cooked and the juices run clear.
